Software Tester

Job Aim:

• To perform software tests to ensure quality

Responsibilities:

• Develop QA Processes and Procedures
• Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.
• Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
• Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.
• Lead and mentor QA team members, as well as manage outside contract testers.
• Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated).
• Organizing and controlling the Testing process.
• Ensuring visibility, traceability, and control of testing process to deliver high-quality software.
• Building up and leading the Testing Team to the success of project
• Defining the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery
• Deploying and managing resources for testing
• Applying the appropriate test measurements and metrics in the product and the Testing Team
• Planning, deploying and managing the testing effort for any given engagement.

Essential Skills:

• Strong communication (written and oral) with good interpersonal skills.
• System level Testing, Integration testing involving Hardware/Software etc.
• Must have worked on at least one Automation Testing tool or having experience of writing selenium scripts for testing
• Basic knowledge of software development life cycle
• Hands-on experience with functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, mobile testing, UI/UX testing, Manual Testing, Black Box Testing, Performance Testing, and Usability Standards.
